Temporary Closure of Parking Lot at Future Diridon BART Station
As part of VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Phase II Extension Project, the parking lot south of Santa Clara Street between Barack Obama Boulevard and South Montgomery Street will temporarily close for soils testing and trenching activities associated with early site preparation for future BART Station construction.

What to expect
During the temporary closure, crews will conduct soils testing and trenching activities to ensure safe and efficient construction of the BART Silicon Valley Phase II Extension Project. Work may include:
- Use of field equipment including a sawcut machines, excavator/backhoe, and geotechnical coring machine.
- Minor dust, noise, and vibration during the working hours of 7am-7pm Monday-Friday.
- Pedestrian access to Diridon Transit Center, SAP Center, and nearby destinations will remain available and unchanged.
